Select the material around the contents, load, storage environment, desired feel, sales channel and target cost. Compare composition, weave, denier, measured GSM, coating and complete-sample performance. A material name or retail price alone does not establish durability or compliance.

Oxford describes a basket-weave fabric construction; polyester describes a fiber. Oxford fabric may use polyester, nylon, cotton or blends. Confirm the fiber composition separately from weave, yarn denier, measured GSM and coating, and evaluate performance on the selected material.

Odor may relate to the selected coating, dyes, adhesives, processing, packaging or storage. Review the actual formulation and production sample, agree an odor assessment method and request relevant material reports. Do not assume that a PU or PVC label alone establishes odor or chemical-safety performance.

For a recycled-content claim, request documentation that matches the selected material and the entities involved in your supply chain. Confirm certificate scope, status and any transaction records needed for your program. Availability, costs and permitted claims must be checked before ordering.

Request a swatch selection matched to your product and color brief. Confirm available materials, sample or shipping charges and delivery timing before dispatch. Use the physical reference to review texture, color and measured weight before sample approval.

Specify the coating type, formulation, application weight and required test conditions. Review PU and PVC options against the intended use and applicable material requirements. Test seams, closures and the finished construction as well as the fabric before making a waterproof claim.
